I've hosted Christmas nine years in a row. This year nobody eats unless they help cook and stay to clean up
Disagree. Its Christmas, not a group project. If you dont want to host anymore just say that, nobody enjoys a dinner where half the table was drafted to peel potatoes and keeps telling you about it.

Sleep deprivation in the first year is not weakness, and there is no trick that fixes it
With our second we split the night at 2am like a shift change. Whoever had the early half got earplugs and the spare room. Didnt make either of us rested but it stopped us keeping score about who was more tired, which was half our fights
