Thirty years on a maternity ward and I can tell you what stays with a four-year-old. It is not the ice cream. It is a ring of grown-ups laughing while she cries and nobody telling her why. Poor little thing had no idea it was a game.
my kid cried just as hard at one of these in antalya. full meltdown, hiccups, strangers filming. still won't walk past that kind of stall
i see kids all day and the rule is simple. if they're not in on the bit it isn't a bit. a 4yo just sees a grown man taking her food away over and over
idk, it's literally the act. and the kid does get the cone in the end
She's 4 and had never seen one. He saw her lip going and did two more rounds for the crowd.
the act was for the adults. the crying was free 😭
Man tried this on my grandson. I said I'd do the same with his wages. Cone came over very quick 😂
I live with a parrot who only says no and it still hurts every time. That kid got it from a grown man with a metal stick and a live audience 😂
